Mary Edith Fasse was born on May 9, 1915 in Seeley, CA to Edwin and Alice (McCauley) Parke. Mary moved as a child with her family to the Chicago area. She married Monte Bowker and later married Raymond Fasse. In Illinois she enjoyed working as a volunteer and loved to garden. She moved to Spencer in 1994 where she continued her love of gardening as well as volunteering. She enjoyed walking in 5 K's and met the challenge of taking a computer class while in her 80's. She was a member of Grace Methodist Church in Spencer and was a Die-hard Cubs fan.
Mary passed away at the Ruthven Care Center where she has been living since December of 2009, on November 15, 2010 at the age of 95. She was preceded in death by her two husbands; one grandchild; four sisters and one brother.
Left to cherish her memory are her son, Dean Bowker and his wife, Janie of Portland, OR; her daughter, Sue Holck and her husband, Dennis of Spencer, IA; three daughters by marriage: Irene Bowker of Bigfork, MT; Barb Fornwall and her husband, Jim of Wonder Lake, Ill and Karen O'Donnell and her husband, Ed of Lake Geneva, WI; two sons by marriage: Ron Fasse and his wife, Karen of Loomis, CA and Dale Fasse and his wife, Gail of Winthrop, WA; 11 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; other relatives and friends.
