Mary Lou Traughber

March 15, 1932 — February 19, 2015

Mary Lou Traughber, the daughter of Louis and Elsie (Vollmer) Batschelet, was born March 15, 1932 in Spencer, Iowa. Her childhood years were spent in Spencer, where she received her education graduating from Spencer High School in 1950. Mary Lou continued her education for two years at Colorado Women's College in Denver. Mary Lou married Bobbie Fay Traughber on January 27, 1953 in Spencer. After their marriage, she spent the rest of her life in Spencer, where she raised her family. She was a member of the First Congregational Church in Spencer. During her life, she enjoyed gardening and keeping up with her family's genealogy. She spent many of her summers on the Oregon coast. She passed away at St. Luke Lutheran Home in Spencer, Iowa on Thursday, February 19, 2015 at the age of 82. Mary Lou was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Bobbie in 1996. Left to cherish her memory are two sons: Steve Traughber and his wife, Surang of Burnsville, MN and Jeff Traughber of Spencer; many nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends.

VISITATION

Visitation will be held on Monday, February 23 with the family present from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M., Monday Evening at the Warner Funeral Home in Spencer.

MUSIC

INTERMENT

Private Graveside Services will be held at Riverside Cemetery in Spencer, IA at a later date.
