Maxine Elda Busse

February 25, 1930 — April 17, 2014

Maxine Elda Busse, the daughter of William and Sena (Jepsen) Busse, was born February 25, 1930 in Pronto, MN. Her family moved to Spencer, Iowa when she was a young child. She received her education in Spencer schools and graduated from Spencer High School in 1948. Maxine lived her adult life in Spencer, where she worked as a linotype operator and computer operator for the Spencer Times and Daily Reporter as well as the Emmetsburg Publishing Company until her retirement. She was a member of the Grace United Methodist Church in Spencer. Maxine enjoyed fun things along with traveling and fishing. She passed away at the Spencer Hospital on Thursday, April 17, 2014 at the age of 84. Maxine was preceded in death by her parents; 2 brothers: William and Lloyd Busse; a sister, Virgean McFarlane and a brother-in-law, Lloyd Sarvold. Left to cherish her memory are one sister, Lorraine Sarvold of Spencer; one brother: Robert (Ann) Busse of Laurens, IA; a sister-in-law, Lucy Busse of Marcus, IA; special friends, Mike & Kay Determan of Spencer; other relatives and friends.
