May Violet Josephine Barry

May Violet Josephine Barry, the daughter of Karl and Betty Truellson Raymond, was born January 8, 1915 in Fort Dodge, Iowa. As a young child she moved to Holdrege, NE where she received her early education and graduated from High School.
May married Roger Carlos Barry on January 25, 1937, in Elk Point, South Dakota. They made their home near Sutherland. They farmed for many years, retiring in 1979 and moved into town. She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Sutherland. May enjoyed music, playing cards, gardening and was a baseball fan.
Mrs. Barry passed away on December 16, 2013, at the Sutherland Care Center at the age of 98. She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Roger on June 28, 1999 and her siblings: Edith Lindemon, Marie Miller, Marge Farquhar, Harold Raymond, Harry Raymond and Dodie Barry.
She is survived by nieces, nephews, family and friends.
SERVICES
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Wednesday, December 18, 2013 at the United Methodist Church in Sutherland.
