Meta Joss

Meta E. Joss passed away Wednesday December 18,2013 at Sioux Care Center. Death was of natural causes. Meta [Pensel] Joss was born in Cape Girardeau, Missouri on February 1,1922. She was united in marriage to Charles C. Joss of Cedar Rapids, Iowa on November 10,1944. From this union were born three children: David, Barbara and Susan. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Barbara on September 2, 2008 and her husband, Charles on September 7, 2008. Meta was an avid Bible Reader and a frequent visitor to the Sioux Rapids Library. She loved gardening, taking care of the home they had built and visiting with friends and family. Meta's sharp wit and humor will be fondly remembered. She had been a Resident of Sioux Care Center since March of 2007. Many will remember conversations with Meta in English and German in later years.

SERVICES

Memorial services will be held 10:30 A.M., Wednesday, January 8, 2013 at the First Lutheran Church in Sioux Rapids, Iowa.
