Michael Thomas Pullen
Born July 28, 1981 in the Naval Hospital, Submarine Base Groton, Connecticut, after detouring his mother away from driving friends to the Grand Opening of the new Navy Exchange on the Submarine Base while his father was deployed on a submarine.
Survived by his parents Nancy and James Pullen, brother Mark Cameron Pullen, grandfather Cameron Dickerson (100 years old), and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Being the son of a career Navy man, Michael moved frequently. Michael attended grade schools in Virginia Beach, Virginia; Monterey, California; Mayport, Florida; and Abington, Pennsylvania; middle school in Abington, PA; high school in Midlothian, VA; and college at Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, VA.
Enjoyed playing baseball, basketball, and soccer as a youth, and enjoyed listening to music and attending concerts as an adult.
Worked as a warehouseman in an aviation parts warehouse on the Naval Air Station in Norfolk, VA, part of the largest Naval Base in the world.
Died and went to be with His Savior, Jesus Christ the Lord in heaven on September 4, 2008, joining his grandfather Stanley Pullen, grandmother Rita Pullen, grandmother Mildred Dickerson, and step-grandmother Marion Dickerson.
SERVICES
Memorial services will be held 10:00 A.M., Saturday, September 13, 2008 at the First Christian Church in Spencer.
Memorials may be directed to the American Cancer Society.
