Mildred Ione Kraft, the daughter of Henry and Martena (Keller) Imhoff, was born November 20, 1918, in Melvin, IA. Mildred grew up on a farm near Melvin where she attended school and graduated from Melvin High School. She was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith.
Mildred was united in marriage to Elmer Kraft on September 19, 1939, in Sioux City, IA. They made their home in Ashton and Ocheyedan before building their home in May City in 1987. In 1948, Mildred and Elmer built and operated the Kraft Tavern and Caf� in May City. They also owned Kraft Trucking.
Mildred was an active member of the St. John's Lutheran Church in May City where she was involved in several ladies organizations. She enjoyed playing cards, quilting, crocheting, canning, and visiting.
Mildred passed away on February 12, 2006, at the Community Memorial Health Center in Hartley, IA, at the age of 87. She was preceded in death by her parents, five brothers and one sister.
Survivors include her husband, Elmer Kraft, of May City, IA; their son, Mickey (Bev) Kraft, of May City, IA; two step-sons: Jim (Deb) Miller and Dale (Brenda) Miller, all of Galva, IA; one step-daughter, Mary (Rex) Reisdorph, of Holstein, IA; three grandchildren: Michael Kraft of Jacksonville, FL, Mitzi (Dwight) Glade of Ocheyedan, IA, Melissa (Shawn) Elsing of Worthington, MN; six great-grandchildren: Matt Kraft of TX, Danielle Kraft of Jacksonville, FL, Jesse and Nicholas Glade of Ocheyedan, IA, and Tori and Porter Elsing of Worthington, MN; six step-grandchildren; five step-great-grandchildren; one brother, Albert "Dick" (Vernetta) Imhoff, of Spirit Lake, IA; two sisters-in-law, Theresa Imhoff, of Westbrook, MN, and Dorothy Imhoff, of Ashton, IA; as well as many nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 A.M. on Thursday, February 16, 2006 at St. John's Lutheran Church in May City, Iowa
