Mildred May Jebsen, the daughter of Frank and Emma (Johannsen) Dau, was born January 28, 1912, in Sutherland, Iowa. Her childhood years were spent in Melvin where she received her education.
On July 12, 1933, Mildred was united in marriage to Eddie Jebsen in Melvin, Iowa. Following their marriage they resided in Sutherland. Mildred was a homemaker, who stayed at home to raise their family. She eventually went to work as a cook for the Sutherland Elementary School in 1964 until her retirement in 1977.
Mildred was a member of Bethel Lutheran Church in Sutherland. She was also a Lamplighter at Bethel, did braille work for many years, and was a charter member of the Concordia Couples Club and Bethel Helping Hand. Family was very important to Mildred. She enjoyed the time spent with her husband, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
On Thursday, September 20, 2007, Mildred passed away at her home in Sutherland at the age of 95. She was preceded in death by her husband Eddie Jebsen; her parents; two sisters: Verna Michael and Irene Glawe; and one brother, Chester Dau.
Left to cherish her memory are her two daughters: Euena (Richard) Hill of Robins, IA, Beverly (Clair) Galles of Cedar Falls, IA; one son, Dennis (Carol) Jebsen of Forney, TX; eight grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 A.M., Monday, September, 24, 2007, at Bethel Lutheran Church in Sutherland
