Mildred S. Lundstrom

Mildred S. Lundstrom, the daughter of Louis and Ida Margaret Dumdei Hausmann, was born July 3, 1921 in Carroll County, Iowa. When she was a child, her family moved to Milford, where she received her education, graduating from Okoboji High School. Following graduation, she remained in the Okoboji area for a period of time. She worked as a first wardclerk at Spencer Hospital for over 20 years, until her semi-retirement in 1982. Mildred permanently retired from Spencer Hospital in 1986. Throughout her life, Mildred thoroughly enjoyed gardening and spending time outside. Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. Mrs. Lundstrom passed away at Longhouse Residence in Spencer, Iowa on Sunday, December 30, 2007 at the age of 86. She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers: Merrill and Dale; two sisters: Clarabelle & Betty June; a daughter-in-law, Kathy Lundstrom and a son-in-law, "Butch" Howe. She is survived by a son, Randy and his 2 children: Abby and Katie two daughters: Pat and her husband, Chuck Schmidt and their daughter, Holly, son Nathan and his wife, Brigette Schmidt and Pam Howe and her son, Heath; one brother, Daryl Hausmann; a sister, Karol Hoben; other relatives and many friends.
