Milo W. Myers, the son of Elmer Ray and Florence Alvera Beck Myers, was born October 15, 1929 on a farm near Rossie, Iowa. His childhood years were spent in the Rossie area, where he received his education, graduating from Greenville - Rossie High School in 1947.
Milo married Mona June Holmberg on August 13, 1950 at the First Congregational Church in Spencer, Iowa. Following their marriage, they began farming in the Rossie area and later continued to farm in Clay County for 18 years. After leaving the farm, he worked in the grain department of the Terril, Ruthven and Spencer Elevators. Later, he worked at various other jobs until his retirement. Following his retirement, he continued his love of farming by helping part time with his son-in-law's farming operation. Milo was affiliated with the Grace United Methodist Church and the First Congregational Church in Spencer. He thoroughly enjoyed his life, fishing, playing cards, watching NASCAR racing and going for a car ride in the country. Most importantly, he enjoyed spending time with his family and attending all of his family's events.
