Mindee L. Wilcox

Mindee Lee Wilcox, the daughter of Gary G. Michels and Sharon K. Lewis Decker, was born November 18, 1972 in Spencer, Iowa. Mindee was raised in Sioux Rapids where she attended Sioux Rapids School until fall of 1988, her family then moved to Webb, Iowa where she attended and graduated from South Clay in 1991. She then lived in the community's of Estherville and Dickens. On July 1, 1998, Mindee married Tracy Wilcox in Spencer, Iowa. Following their marriage, they made their home in Rossie. Mindee then continued her education at Iowa Lakes Community College where she graduated Suma Cum Laude in 2003. For the past 10 years, Mindee has worked at Dr. Jorgenson's office as his medical assistant. Mindee passed away on March 12, 2013 as a result of a car accident at the age of 40. She is preceded in death by her grandparents: Peggy and George Hurless and Frances and Rosie Michels; niece Olivia Shaughnessy and nephew Hendrix Shaughnessy. Mindee is survived by her husband, Tracy of Rossie; her mother and step dad, Sharon (Paul) Decker of Rossie; her father, Gary Michels of Estherville, IA; sisters: Traci (Rob) Verdoorn of Dickens, Nicole (Byron) Bergeson of Spencer; stepbrother, Chad Decker of George, IA; nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends and extended family who all love her and will miss her very much.
