Morris (“Moe”) Bernard Weiner, the son of Harry Louis Weiner and Ida Vishniskie Weiner, was born May 19, 1929 in Kankakee, IL. He was orphaned as a young child and was raised at the Marks Nathan Jewish Children’s Home in Illinois.
After graduating from high school, Mr. Weiner entered the Military, serving a tour of duty with the Army during the Korean Conflict. He then served three tours during the Vietnam War. Moe retired from the Army in 1976 (after a lifetime of service to his country) and then moved to Spencer, Iowa where he lived with his sister Rose Rabinowitz. He later moved to Okoboji, Iowa.
During his retirement, Moe enjoyed fishing, reading, puzzles and especially being around his family.
He is survived by nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews and great-grand nieces and nephews.
