Morris Orean Saboe

July 9, 1925 — August 12, 2007

Morris Orean Saboe, the son of Anton and Martha Olivia Rasmussen Saboe, was born July 9, 1925, in Dawson, MN. His childhood years were spent in Dawson where he received his early education. Morris entered the U.S. Army in November 1944 and served until his honorable discharge on July 31, 1946. On July 19, 1948, Morris married Rosie D. Muckey in Dawson, MN, where they lived until 1950, at which time they moved northwest of Sanborn, IA, and lived there five years before moving to Moneta, IA. A few years after Rosie's death, Morris moved to Sunset Apartments in Spencer. Morris worked for the City of Spencer for 27 years. He was a member of the United Methodist Church in Everly and American Legion Everett Boyles, Jr. Post #414. Morris enjoyed gardening and the outdoors. Morris passed away August 12, 2007, at the Heart Hospital in Sioux Falls, SD, at the age of 82. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; four brothers: Berdeen, Kenneth, Lester and Obert; four sisters: Agnus, Alice Eleanor and Esther; and one infant grandchild. He is survived by his children: David (Luanne) Saboe of Royal, IA, Sharon (Richard) Slawson of Spencer, IA, Douglas and Steven Saboe, both of Everly, IA; 7 grandchildren; two brothers: Berge Saboe and Joseph (Patricia) Saboe, both of Dawson, MN; other relatives and friends.
SERVICES
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, August 15, 2007, at United Methodist Church in Everly.

Visitation will begin at 5:00 P.M. Tuesday with the family present from 5:00 - 7:00 P.M. Tuesday night at Warner Funeral Home in Everly.
