Neoma Elsie Lange

Neoma Elsie Lange, the daughter of Frederick and Claudia (Dannatt) Buck, was born August 1, 1916, in Milford, IA. She received her early education in Milford, later graduating from Milford High School. Neoma married Herbert William Lange on August 23, 1933, in Sisseton, SD. They made their home in the Everly area for 18 years where Herbert continued farming and Neoma stayed home and raised their family. In 1951, they moved to a farm near Sutherland and in 1975, they moved into town. She was an active member of the United Methodist Church in Sutherland where she was a Sunday school teacher and funeral lunch coordinator for many years. Neoma was also active with the Senior Citizen's, Dinner Date program and was a 4-H Leader. She moved to Madrid, Iowa five years ago to be closer to her family. She passed away on Friday, November 1, 2013, at the Boone County Hospital in Boone, IA, at the age of 97. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Herbert in 1994; one son, Deloy Lange; one sister, Helen Bergstrom; five brothers: Merril, Harold, Harley, Kenneth and Robert who died in infancy; a son-in-law, Alan Hart and a grandson-in-law, Boysell Linderblood. Neoma is survived by one daughter, Helen Hart of Charles City, IA; three sons: Herbert (Don) and his wife, Marilyn Lange of Harlan, IA, Robert Lange of Missouri Valley, IA and George and his wife, Judy of Lorimor, IA; a daughter-in-law, Barb Lange of Ola, Idaho; 15 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandchildren; other relatives and friends.
SERVICES
of Madrid, Iowa formerly of Sutherland, Iowa. Services will be held 10:30 A.M., Tuesday, November 5, 2013 at the United Methodist Church in Sutherland.

VISITATION
Visitation will be held from 6 to 8:00 P.M., Monday with the family present from 6 to 7:00 P.M., Monday Evening at the Warner Funeral Home in Sutherland.

INTERMENT
Waterman Cemetery Sutherland, Iowa A lunch and time of fellowship will be held at the United Methodist Church in Sutherland following the graveside services.
