Norma Lee Remillard

Norma Lee Remillard, the daughter of Thomas and Nannie Haney Caskey, was born November 2, 1923 in Jackson, MN.  Her early education was received in Spirit Lake where she graduated from the Spirit Lake High School in 1942.

     Norma married Cecil Howard Remillard on January 20, 1945, in Lakefield, Minnesota.  They spent the early years of their marriage in Cedar Falls and later Emmetsburg, before moving to Spencer.  Norma worked at the Dickinson County Court House for a number of years and after raising her children, she worked at the Hotel in Spencer.  In her spare time, Norma enjoyed reading and attending activities at the Senior Center.

     Mrs. Remillard passed away at the Spencer Hospital on February 19, 2019 at the age of 95.  She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband; infant daughter, daughter, Nancy Smith; brother, Howard Caskey and sisters: Hazel Ahrens and Velda Stammer.

     Norma is survived by her children: Tracy Remillard of Kansas City, KS, Terry (Kim) Remillard of Hartley, IA, Linda (Galen) Hovland of Spirit Lake, IA and Ginger Roghair of Sibly, IA; 7 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; other relatives and friends.
