Norman Francis Hepworth

October 26, 1914 — February 15, 2008

Norman Francis Hepworth, the son of Clyde and Sarah Ruth Jipson Hepworth, was born October 26, 1914 in Moneta, Iowa. His childhood years were spent in Royal, Iowa. Norm married Avah M. Petersen on September 25, 1935 in Peterson, Iowa. Following their marriage, they farmed near Royal. In 1953, they moved to Spencer, Iowa, where he worked for Gamble's Store from 1953 to 1965. He later did service work for heating from 1965 until 1971. In 1971, they moved to N. Chicago, Illinois, until moving back to Spencer in 1981. Norm then was in charge of property management at the First Congregational Church in Spencer from 1981, until his retirement in 1992. Norman passed away at Lake Crystal Healthcare in Lake Crystal, Minnesota on Friday, February 15, 2008 at the age of 93. He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Ralph; a sister, Daphaine Maurer and his wife, Avah. Left to cherish his memory are his son, James Clyde Hepworth and his wife, Judy of Lake Crystal, Minnesota; three granddaughters: Sarah (Jesse) Haraldson of Apple Valley Minnesota, Rachel Hepworth of Mankato, Minnesota, and Allison Hepworth of St. Paul, Minnesota and great grandchildren, Bennett and Amelia Haraldson and other relatives and friends.
SERVICES
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M., Monday, February 18, 2008 at the Warner Chapel in Spencer.
