Opal Lucille Sanderson

September 12, 1908 — January 13, 2007

Opal Lucille Sanderson, the daughter of Elmer and Mabel Anderson Floren, was born September 12, 1908 in Centerville, SD. When she was a child the family moved to the Webb, Marathon area. She received her education in this area. On May 25, 1925, Opal and Lloyd Sanderson were united in marriage and from then on they lived in the community of Webb. She was a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church, W.S.C.S. and the YMCA. She enjoyed gardening, reading, hosting card parties, going out with friends on their birthdays, and was a very active and supportive resident in the Webb community. In December of 2000, through January 2007, Opal resided at Riverview Terrace Assisted Living and St Luke Lutheran Home in Spencer. Opal passed away on January 13, 2007, at St Luke Lutheran Home at the age of 98. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Lloyd on August 8, 1984; her daughter, Lavonne and her sister. She is survived by one niece, Ann Marie and her husband, Steve Wight of Boulder, WY; two nephews: David Evans and his wife, Dawna, of St. George, UT and Richard Evans and his wife, Frances, of Clearfield, UT; other relatives and many friends.
SERVICES
Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 A.M. on January 19, 2007 at the Trinity United Methodist Church in Webb, Iowa.
