Orlin Duane Peters

December 18, 1921 — April 22, 2006

Orlin Duane Peters, the son of William F. and Emma Scharnberg Peters, was born December 18, 1921, in Spencer, Iowa. His childhood years were spent in the Everly, Iowa area, where he received his education, graduating from Everly High School. Orlin married Helen (Connie) Conrad on June 9, 1946 in Langdon, Iowa. Following their marriage, they lived in Everly, where they farmed. Later, he worked for Wonderbread for 20 � years. He was an active member of Hope Lutheran Church in Everly, where he served as trustee and taught Sunday school. He was also a member of the Farm Bureau, the Iowa State Bowler's Association and was inducted into the Iowa State Bowler's Hall of Fame in 1984. He also enjoyed fishing. They had recently moved to Spencer. Orlin passed away at his home in Spencer, Iowa, on Saturday, April 22, 2006 at the age of 84. He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Richard; and two brothers: Waldo Peters and Arlo Peters. He is survived by his wife, Helen of Spencer; two sons: Ronald and his wife, Julie Peters and Robert and his wife, Lorie Peters, all of Spencer; seven grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; one half brother, John Peters of Madera, California; other relatives and many friends.
SERVICES
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 A.M. Tuesday, April 25, 2006, at Hope Lutheran Church, in Everly, IA.

VISITATION
visitation will begin at noon on Monday, with the family present from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Monday night at Warner Funeral Home in Spencer.
INTERMENT
Burial will be at 1:00 P.M. at North Lawn Memorial Park in Spencer, Tuesday afternoon.
