Patricia Donna Barry

May 3, 1939 — August 21, 2013

Patricia Donna Barry, the daughter of Don A. and Eldora (Raymond) Barry, was born May 3, 1939 at the Spencer Hospital in Spencer, Iowa. Patricia grew up on a farm near Sutherland, where she attended country school and then high school in Sutherland, Iowa, graduating in 1957. Following her schooling, Patricia lived in Iowa City, Cherokee, Sioux City, Storm Lake and Spencer, Iowa, where she worked for a hotel and Super Valu Grocery Store in the Deli Department. She enjoyed art, crafts, writing, drawing and poetry. Patricia entered Northshire Residence and later Longhouse Residence, where she resided for many years. She passed away at Longhouse Residence in Spencer, Iowa on Wednesday, August 21, 2013 at the age of 74. Patricia was preceded in death by her parents, Don and Eldora Barry as well as her sister, Kathi Barry Sweet. Left to cherish her memory are her two sisters: Yvonne Barry of Spencer and Dorothy Pierret of Maple Grove, MN; one brother, Don Barry of Clever, MO; many other relatives and friends.

SERVICES

Funeral services will be held 11:30 A.M., Friday, August 23, 2013 at the First Baptist Church in Spencer.

Waterman Cemetery Sutherland, Iowa at 1:30 P.M., Friday, August 23 following a lunch at the church.
