Patricia Jean Whittenburg

Patricia Jean Whittenburg, the daughter of Charles T. and Florence (Wischmeyer) Whittenburg was born September 7, 1927, in Dickens, Iowa. Her childhood years were spent in rural Dickens, Iowa. She attended school and graduated from Lake Center High School. Following graduation Patricia worked at Stubs Ranch Kitchen, Speelman's Steak House in Cherokee, Iowa and, later, as a Post Office Clerk. For the last 40 years, she managed her farm near Dickens. Patricia enjoyed being outdoors and working on her farm. She also enjoyed touring the countryside and viewing the lakes, marshes, and farmland. On October 30, 2007, Patricia passed away at the Spencer Hospital at the age of 80. She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Florence Whittenburg; and one brother, Charles Whittenburg. Left to cherish her memory are her sister-in-law, Ruth Ann Whittenburg; her nieces and nephews: Cindy Christensen and her husband, Kevin of Eau Claire, Wisconsin, Charley Whittenburg and his wife, Nancy of Spencer, Iowa, Nancy Whittenburg and her husband, Gary Nelsen of Spencer, Iowa and Robert Whittenburg of Spencer, Iowa; other relatives and friends.
