Patricia Mae Devereaux

Patricia Mae Devereaux, the daughter of Theodore and Helen (Lampman) Lilly, was born August 29, 1940, in Storm Lake, IA. Her childhood years were spent in Albert City, IA, where she received her education, graduating from Albert City High School in 1958. Following her schooling, she worked for a dentist, Dr. Harms. Pat married Ed Devereaux on January 24, 1959, in Laurens, IA. Following their marriage they farmed near Laurens. In 1991, they quit farming and moved to Emmetsburg, IA, where they continued their education at Iowa Lakes Community College, graduating with an AS degree in Hotel/Motel Management. They later moved to Spencer, IA, and managed the Iron Horse Motel for 17 years until their retirement. She passed away at Mercy Hospital in Mason City, IA, on Monday, December 9, 2013, at the age of 73. Pat was preceded in death by her father, Theodore Lilly in 1978, and her grandparents. Left to cherish her memory are her husband, Ed of Spencer, IA; mother, Helen Lilly of Spencer, IA; her children and their spouses: Lora Devereaux of Estherville, IA, Bruce Devereaux (Natalie) of Paullina, IA, Patrick (Lee) Devereaux of Papillion, NE, Scott (Aimee) Devereaux of Pomeroy, IA; grandchildren: Steven Devereaux, Annette Sweisberger (Travis), Stephanie Devereaux, SarahRae Sisson, Allison Devereaux, Morgan Devereaux; great-grandchildren: Marissa Sweisberger, and Lilly and Cali Devereaux; one sister, Sue Francois (James) of Barnum, IA; and niece, Maria Francois; other relatives and friends.
