Patrick Jay Mason the son of James and Frances (Johnson) Mason, was born on August 11, 1962, in Estherville, Iowa. He grew up and received his early education there and graduated from Estherville High School in 1980. In August of 1980 he entered into the Army Reserves. He received his training at Fort Dix in New Jersey. He was discharged in October of 1980. After serving in the military, he lived in Wichita, KS. He attended school in auto mechanic training. On April 25, 1987, Patrick married Kimberly Ann Farrell. Following their marriage, they lived in Estherville where he worked different jobs. He attended Iowa Lakes Community College and received a degree in Information Technology. He started working for R&D Industries in 2002 and worked there until 2014 when he retired due to health reasons. He liked to listen to music, especially rock-n-roll, watching the Pittsburgh Steelers and Iowa Hawkeyes. He loved being on his computer and spending time with his children and grandchildren. Patrick passed away on Thursday, February 2, 2017 at the Spencer Hospital at the age of 54. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Kimberly Ann; his son, Daniel Patrick in infancy; his mother-in-law, Caroline Truman and brother-in-law, Shawn Farrell Left to cherish his memory are his daughter, Jennifer Mason of Everly, IA and her two children: Parker and Sophia; 2 sons: Clayton and Christopher Mason of Everly, IA; brother, Steve Mason (Pam) Alton, IA; 3 brothers-in-law: George Farrell (Angie) of Alta, IA, Mike Truman of Arnolds Park, IA and Jason Farrell (Kari) of Milford, IA and their two children: Malanee and Hallie; 2 sisters: Kathryn Mason-Tierney (Teresa) of Big Lake, MN and Nicky Hallenbeck (Greg) of Laurens, IA and their daughter, Kelsey Kautz of Minneota, MN; his 2 honorary daughters: Kari Sindt and her son Harrison and Randi Krieg; other relatives and many, many, friends.

Memorial Services will be 10:00A.M., Tuesday, February 7, at the Warner Chapel.
