Paul Conrad Haaland

     Paul Conrad Haaland, the son of Thorvald and Margaret (Meredith) Haaland was born December 28, 1950 in Spencer, IA. He grew up in the Royal, IA area, attending Clay Central schools and graduating from Clay Central High School in (1968?) He furthered his education at Iowa State University.

     Paul returned home to work on the family farm near Royal. He enjoyed being in the outdoors, John Deere tractors, watching racing, Hawkeye football, Green Bay Packers and the New York Yankees. He was a member of the Rossie United Church.

     Paul passed away on Sunday, December 24, 2017 at Pocahontas Community Hospital in Pocahontas, IA at the age of 66. He was preceded in death by his parents; and one brother, John.

     Left to cherish his memory are his brother, Joel of Royal, IA; 3 sisters, Margaret Haaland of Ames, IA, Maureen (Ron) Christensen of Royal, IA, and Marcia Baragary of McMinnville, OR; one sister-in-law, Teresa Haaland of Nevada, IA; other relatives; and many friends.

     Paul’s family would like to express their eternal gratitude to the Laurens Care Center for the love, compassion, and friendship that they gave to Paul the past 21 years. They have given a gift to Paul and to the family that can never be repaid and will always be remembered.
