Pearl Katherine Steinke

April 24, 1923 — December 17, 2015

Pearl Kathryn Steinke, the daughter of Walter and Celestia (Mesch) Adolf was born April 24, 1923 in rural May City, IA. Her childhood years were spent in Osceola County, where she attended country school. Pearl married Arthur Steinke in Ocheyedan, IA on September 8, 1940. They lived in Hartley, IA until moving to a farm near May City, IA and then to Spencer in 1966. She enjoyed flowers, gardening, walks, traveling, Minnesota Twins games, get-togethers, and especially spending time with her grandchildren. She was a member of Hope Lutheran Church in Everly, IA. Pearl passed away on Thursday, December 17, 2015 at Spencer Hospital in Spencer, IA, at the age of 92. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 2 brothers, DeForrest and Daryl, 2 sisters-in-law, Pearl and Vivian, and one granddaughter, Aimee Celeste Dallman. Left to cherish her memory are 2 children, Larry (Carol) Steinke of Eau Claire, WI and Lana (Dennis) Dallman of Dickens, IA; 4 grandchildren, Jeff (Tony) Steinke, John (Susan) Steinke, Shannon (Lori) Dallman and Conan (Richanne) Dallman; 6 great-grandchildren, Morgan and Margo Steinke, Makenzie Dallman, Allison, Amelia and John William Dallman; 2 brothers, Dale (Shirley) Adolf and Derry (Mary Ann) Adolf; one brother-in-law Vernon Steinke; nieces; nephews; other relatives; and many friends.
SERVICES
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M., Monday, December 21, 2015 at Hope Lutheran Church in Everly.
