Pearl Lillian Wilcox, the daughter of Mettinus and Katrinia Mueller Bendixen, was born August 21, 1914 in Emmet County, Iowa. Her childhood years were spent in the Terril, Iowa area, where she received her education, graduating from Terril High School in 1931.
Pearl married Clayton Wilcox on April 1, 1932 in Sioux Falls, SD. Following their marriage, they continued to live in Terril, where she substituted as a cook and later worked full time as a cook for Terril High School for 17 years. She also cooked at Walter League Camp in Okoboji for many years. Pearl was a member of the United Methodist Church in Terril. Pearl moved to Spencer Manor in November of 1994.
Mrs. Wilcox passed away at the Spencer Manor on Thursday, November 9, 2006 at the age of 92. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Clayton on April 18, 1978; one daughter, Lorna Nance on February 24, 2003; one son, Ernest "Skip" Wilcox; a grandson, Tim Schmeling; three sisters: Mary Clymer, Christina Bendixen and Anna Bendixen and six brothers: Christian, Louis, Henry, Edgar, Howard and August.
She is survived by one daughter and her husband, Katharyn and Virgil Schmeling of Moneta, IA; 12 grandchildren; 26 great- grandchildren; 13 great-great- grandchildren; other relatives and many friends.
SERVICES
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, November 13, 2006, at the Warner Chapel in Spencer. There will be an Order of the Eastern Star Service conducted following the funeral service on Monday.

VISITATION
Visitation will begin after 2:00 p.m., Sunday with the family present from 2:00 - 5:00 p.m., Sunday afternoon at the funeral home.
INTERMENT
Graveside Services will be held 11:00 A.M., Tuesday at the Fairview Cemetery in Terril, Iowa.
