PEGGY E. PETERSEN, age 76 of Jefferson, passed away Saturday February 11, 2012 at Fort Atkinson Memorial Hospital. She was born on April 25, 1935 in Hartley, Iowa, daughter of he late Herman E. and Lila M. (Martin) Petersen. Peggy was a member of the St. Coletta of Wisconsin family for over 65 years. She enjoyed knitting, collecting magazines,participating in Special Olympics (in her younger years) and attending Golden Options (in her golden years). Spending time with her family and friends gave her much joy. She will be deeply missed by her sisters; Polly Jo (Richard) Phillips of Vail AZ;Penny Sue (Gary)Mallo of Dixon, IL, nieces: Tamara (Doug)Newell, Tracey (Steve) Biedenfeld, Tonya (Joe) Hollrith, Jane (Clint) Jungerman, Kathryn (Dave) Kiker; nephews: Michael (Michelle)Mallo, Paul Mallo, 14 great nieces and nephews, and her many friends at St. Coletta,Jefferson, Wisconsin, and the Stacy House in Fort Atkinson. She is preceded in death by her parents, and her brother-in-law, Jim Steffen.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 am. On Wednesday, February 15, 2012, at the Little Flowers Chapel on the Alverno campus, with the Rev. Thomas Coyle officiating. Visitation will be held on Wednesday morning beginning at 9:30 a.m. with A Time of Remembrance at 10:45 a.m. at the church.
Schneider-Michaelis Funeral home in Jefferson Wisconsin and the Warner Funeral Home in Peterson Iowa are assisting the family with arrangements.
