Perri Lyn Hughes

Perri Lyn Hughes, the daughter of Wayne "Grant" and Rosalie (Adams) Perkins was born on February 9, 1954 in Phoenix, AZ. Her childhood years were spent in the Phoenix area, where she graduated from Saguaro High School in Scottsdale, AZ in 1972.

Perri married her husband Vern Hughes on June 13, 1990 and they made their home in Langdon, IA.

Throughout her life, Perri worked at various jobs in the area, retiring from Polaris in Spirit Lake. IA.

She enjoyed ice fishing, playing cards, Bingo, and was a whiz at crossword puzzles.

Perri passed away on Thursday, December 21, 2023 at Avera McKennan Hospital in Sioux Falls, SD at the age of 69. She was preceded in death by her parents Grant and Rosalie Perkins, father and mother-n-law George and Ruby (Henaman) Hughes, sister-in-law Rita Kling, sister and brother-in-law Diane and Tony Mendoza, and brother-in-law Robert "Bob" Hughes.

Among those left to cherish her memory: Her husband Vern of Langdon, daughter Shannon Underdown of Seattle, WA, stepson Chris (Dawn) Hughes of Phoenix, AZ, grandchildren Kylia and Matthew Hughes one brother Dane (Meg) Perkins of Phoenix, AZ; sister and brother-in-law Ginger (William "Bill") Aldinger of Emmetsburg, IA, along with many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
