Philip Arthur Grady, the son of Anthony and Angeline Marie (Reichle) Grady, was born on January 24, 1946 at the Sacred Heart Hospital in LeMars, IA. He grew up and received his early education in Granville, IA. He graduated from Spalding High School in 1964. After graduation, he entered in to military on January 4, 1966, serving in the U.S.Navy. He was honorably discharged on November 4, 1969.
Throughout his life, Philip had several jobs. He worked at Diamond Vogel Paint Warehouse in Orange City and then at Interstate Electrical in Sioux Center. He then moved to Spencer and worked for Pixler Electric. He was active in Sacred Heart Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus. He was also a member of the American Legion and V.F.W. He enjoyed working at the Clay County Fair and spending time with his friends. He loved his corvette and was an avid Hawkeye Fan.
Philip passed away on Saturday, September 25, 2021 at the V.A. Hospital in Minneapolis at the age 75. He was preceded in death by his parents; his brothers-in-law: Larry Zadwadzki and Ron Roder.
Left to cherish his memory are his brothers: Stephen (Junell) Grady of Archer, IA, Ron Grady of Alton, IA, Dave Grady (Mary Ann) of Dyersville, IA, Fran Grady (Sandi) of Loveland, CO, Marvin Grady of Calhan, CO; his sisters: Marge Roder of LeMars, IA, Patty Zadwadzki of Swartz Creek, MI and Barb Matson of Omaha, NE; 20 nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends.
