Raina Marie Strang left all of us to move on to brighter tasks on March 3, 2022, surrounded by those who loved her. However, for the short amount of 22 years being of existence, Raina left drops of love everywhere she went. Raina Marie Strang blessed the world on December 13, 1999, to the parents of Alan Strang and Amy Naatjes. She spent her early and adult years in Spencer, Iowa and was a high school graduate from Spencer in 2018. Raina was a self-sufficient and hardworking young lady and had many service jobs such as Holiday Inn Express, O’Reilly Auto Parts, and her most recent place at Walmart.
Raina was 20 years old when she met the love of her life, Isaac, on June 1, 2020, and the two of them became inseparable. At 3:33 AM on December 14, 2021, the world was blessed with another bundle of joy, Baby Ezekiel who was the joy of her life. Raina was a mom for only two months to Baby Ezekiel, but during those two months she adored every single moment! Raina was the oldest and leaves behind a younger brother, Tyler. Raina accepted being a big sister and made sure that he was always cared for. They had their typical sibling fights, some blood drawn, but at the end of the day, Raina and Tyler loved one another unconditionally.
Raina is affectionally remembered for her big smile, her beautiful laughter, loving unconditionally, and her personality that would light up a room. She was a friend to anyone and everyone and she never knew a stranger. Raina was there for anyone, often offering up advice or a listening ear. However, know this, Raina was quick to respond when she felt there was injustice of someone else being unkind. Raina never held back her thoughts and views and one would never question where they stood with her. All in all, she was a well-rounded young lady!
She loved spending Sundays with her mom cooking, eating, and laughing over something that was funny. She enjoyed chasing ghosts and looked forward to what next ghost adventure and investigation was next on the list to explore. She was both a mommy’s girl and a daddy’s girl.
She will be mourned by her son, Ezekiel Kenneth De Los Santos; the love of her life and partner in crime, Isaac De Los Santos; her mother, Amy Naatjes; her father, Alan Strang; her brother, Tyler Strang; her grandparents, Michael and Dawn Naatjes, her grandmother, Glenda Pick; her grandparents, Lori and Gary Pick-Fossum, her grandmother, Lourdes Bernal; her grandparents, Tina and Kyle Nehman and grandparents, Karen and Harry Owens; many aunts and uncles: Jessica and Bill Baer, Jennifer and Andrew Sampson, Alethea Seydlitz, Sarah and Terry Huisman, Misti and Justin Jorgenson, Jake Shields, Jason Illg, Dannie and Mike McCord, Lilliana and Chad Szaflarski, Becca Strang, Elizabeth Strang, Billy Strang, Haley and Andrew Kempken, Aaron and Haeyoung Naatjes and many cousins, loved ones and friends.
She is currently kicking it with those who preceded her in death: grandfather, Kent Marquardt; great-aunt, Cindy Foxhoven; grandparents, Duane and Dolores Foxhoven; and cousin, Brandy Amick.
