Ralph 'Bud' Raymond Clark, the son of Ralph and Surenda (Saunders) Clark was born July 14, 1925, in Dixon, Nebraska. His childhood years were spent in Newcastle, Nebraska where he received his education, graduating from Newcastle Public High School in 1943.
On September 22, 1948, Ralph married Marcella Redl in Newcastle, NE. After their marriage, they owned and operated Clark's Cafe in Newcastle, NE. They moved to Spencer in 1967, where he was employed at Super Value for 30 years. After retirement, they managed the Spencer City Campground for five years. Ralph was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church. He enjoyed camping, bird watching and wood working.
Ralph passed away at the Northshire Residence on December 19, 2014, at the age of 89. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Marcella on January 8, 2014; two sons, Robert and Kenneth; one brother, Clarence; and four sisters: Blanche Breisch, Florence Sundt, Bernice Vernon and Violet Johnson and a great granddaughter, Mackenzie.
Left to cherish his memory are his children: Jan (Stan) Nissen of Spencer, IA, Debra Chapman of Royal, IA, James (Dana) Clark of Cedar Rapids, IA, Alicia (Jeff) Jones of Okeechobee, FL; 14 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; one daughter-in-law, Mindy Clark of Davenport, IA; other relatives and many friends.
