Randel "Buddy" William Sweet

     Randel William Sweet, the son of William Joe and Betty Lou (Riemer) Sweet, was born June 1, 1965, in Spencer, Iowa.  His entire life was spent in Spencer where he attended Spencer Schools, graduating from Spencer High School in 1984. 

     Randy’s adult life was spent working carpentry jobs, roofing, and landscaping for Sweet Landscaping.  Randy was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.  He enjoyed the outdoors and spent much of his spare time hunting, fishing and camping.  He was also known for his gifted talent of fixing almost anything mechanical.

     He passed away unexpectedly at his home in Spencer on Tuesday, April 3, 2018, at the age of 52.  Randy was preceded in death by his mother.                                 

     Randy is survived by his father, Bill Sweet of Spencer, IA; his siblings: Sharon (Leo) Matthews of Spencer, IA, Linda (Tom) Cushing of Langdon, IA, Steve (Dot) Anderson of Winston-Salem, NC, Lori Oviatt of Spencer, IA, Heather Sweet of Emmetsburg, IA, Justin (Heather) Sweet of Sioux Falls, SD, Aaron Sweet of Hartley, IA, several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
