Raymond Wilbur Koehnk

October 12, 1920 — April 3, 2010

Raymond Wilbur Koehnk, the son of Otto and Anna Koehnk, was born on October 12, 1920 on a farm near Moneta, Iowa. After graduating from Everly High School in 1939, he attended the University of Iowa, where he was a member of the 1942 Iowa Big Ten championship baseball team. After farming for many years he entered the crop insurance business and enjoyed being able to spend his entire life so close to agriculture and his hometown. Ray passed away at the Spencer Hospital on April 3, 2010, at the age of 89. He was preceded in death by his parents; an infant daughter, Ann; sisters, Jeannine, Wilma, and Hilda; brothers, Otto, Walt, and Melvin.
