Richard Allen Nissen

Richard Allen Nissen, the son of Allen and Pam Wittrock Nissen, was born February 12, 1982 in Atlantic, Iowa. Richard's family moved to Sheldon when he was a young boy. Rich attended elementary and high school in Sheldon where he graduated in 2001. He continued his education at Northwest Iowa Community College in Computer Programming. Rich moved to Spencer, Iowa in 2008. Rich's greatest love was his family. He especially loved hanging out with his sister. Rich was the kind of person who would do anything for his friends and family. He had a unique ability to remember things and details. He enjoyed cars, swords, the Kansas City Chiefs and watching Anime. Rich passed away on February 13, 2011 at his home in Spencer at the age of 29. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Cliff and Dorothy Nissen; his two uncles: Chuck and Bill Meyers and his cousin, Anthony Nissen. Rich is survived by his parents, Allen and Pam Nissen of Spencer, IA; his sister, Kaelah Balmer and her husband, Levi of Spencer, IA; maternal grandparents, Dick and Shirley Wittrock of Milford, IA; his best friend, Nate Ash; other relatives and friends.
