Richard Wayne Wittrock, the son of Edward and Annetta (Troxel) Wittrock, was born May 6, 1935 in Sutherland, Iowa. His childhood years were spent in Hartley, Iowa, where he received his education, graduating from Hartley High School. After his schooling, he entered the military and served with the U.S. Navy from November of 1953 until his honorable discharge in October of 1957.
Dick married Shirley Graen on October 11, 1954 in Jackson, MN. After their marriage, Shirley lived in Everly, while Dick served with the Navy during the Korean Conflict. After serving his country, Dick moved to Everly, where he worked for Cornbelt Power Cooperative for 38 years until his retirement. He was a member of the United Methodist Church in Everly. In his spare time, Dick enjoyed playing pool with "the old guys" and being able to hang out with his grandchildren. They moved to Wahpeton, where he enjoyed fishing at their home on the canal. They later moved to their present home in Milford.
He passed away at his home in Milford on Thursday, November 3, 2016 at the age of 81. Dick was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Keith and James; one sister, Betty Stone and grandson, Richard Nissen.
Left to cherish his memory was his wife, Shirley of Milford; his children: Steve Wittrock of Omaha, NE, Pamela (Allen) Nissen of Milford, Douglas (Joleen) Wittrock of Spencer and Susan (Brian) Van Reese of Milford, IA; 8 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; sister, Dorothy Thomas of Hartley, IA; many other relatives and friends.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 A.M., Monday, November 7, 2016 at United Methodist Church in Everly.
