Richard Jay Wells

Richard Jay Wells, the son of Jerry Grotzky and Carol Campbell Scott, was born on September 1, 1956, in Hartley, IA. In 1976, Richard married Joanne Wilson, and to this union two children were born. Richard had three children: Mitch Nehring of Estherville, IA, Montana Wells of Spencer, IA, and Nakoma Wells of Estherville, IA. He worked for Campbell's Tree Service of Spencer, and for the last few years he worked at Silver Pork Hog Farm. Richard passed away on April 18, 2014, at his home in Gillett Grove at the age of 57. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Ren Campbell; father Jerry; two brothers: Ren and Ranchy; and half- sister, Lavonne. Left to cherish his memory are his grandmother, Darlane Campbell of Spencer; mother, Carol Scott and her husband, Jim; his 3 children: son, Mitch Nehring of Estherville, IA, daughter, Montana Wells of Spencer, IA, and son, Nakoma Wells of Estherville, IA; 9 grandchildren; sister, Kay Kibbie of Gillett Grove, IA; 2 brothers: Les Wells of Gillett Grove, IA, and Bo Woodall and wife, Jackie of Spencer, IA; 2 half- sisters: Nancy Torres of Austin, TX and Stacy Fieldgrove of Ord, NE; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
