Robert Arthur Donahoo

Robert Arthur Donahoo was born in Cherokee, Iowa to Robert Charles and Wanda (Nothwehr) on February 14, 1962. He graduated from Sioux Valley Community Schools of Peterson and Linn Grove in 1980. He attended Kirkwood Community College in Cedar Rapids and studied swine production. In 1981 Bob married his high school sweetheart, Kathryn Brees. To this union 3 children were born. Robert R, Stephanie, and Ryan. Bob loved life and lived it to the fullest. Some of his favorite places to be were the Little Sioux River, Lake Miltona, working in his shop, and anywhere with his best friend Kathryn. He and Kathryn were avid travelers often seeking new adventures to explore. Bob farmed on the family farm his whole life. He was an avid conservationist and spent his entire life looking for ways to preserve the family farm. Bob deeply loved his children and grandchildren and sharing his knowledge of everything with them. He devoted much of his time helping and being with them. Bob had such a big heart and always wore it on his sleeve. Bob was an active member and officer of the Peterson Lions Club, a board member of the Cherokee County Farm Bureau, held various church positions, and participated in many community events. Proceeding him in death are his father-in-law and mother-in-law Raymond and Barbara Brees, and two nieces: Rochelle and Nicole Edwards. Left to cherish his memory are his wife Kathryn, children: Robert R. and Christina Donahoo, Stephanie and Jay Fordyce and Ryan and Kirsten Donahoo; grandchildren: Robert F. & Luke Donahoo, Tyler, Allie & Dylan Fordyce and Marley Donahoo; his parents: Robert C. and Wanda Donahoo; sisters: Deb (Jody) Maske of Newell, Susan Donahoo & Steve Ralph of Oconomowoc, WI, Jeanne (Tom) Repas of Rapid City, SD and brother, David Donahoo of Sheldon; sister and brother in law: Marilyn (Dan) Gath of Lake Park & Gary (Kathy) Brees of Peterson; nine nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
SERVICES
Funeral Services will be 10:30 A.M., Tuesday, May 16, at the United Methodist Church in Peterson. *In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been established in his name.

Visitation will begin after 2:30 p.m., Monday, with the family present from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m. at the United Methodist Church in Peterson.
