Robert 'Bob' Blaue

Robert "Bob" Herman Blaue, the son of Harry and Kathie (Hansen) Blaue was born on July 27, 1931, in Cherokee, IA. His childhood years were spent in the Royal, IA, area where he attended school and graduated from Royal High School in 1949. Bob married Bonnie Goyette on November 25, 1951, in Royal. He enlisted into the U.S. Army in 1952 and served until his Honorable Discharge in 1954. Bob lived and worked on the family farm until he became a factory representative for Citation Homes for 24 years until his retirement. He enjoyed golfing, yardwork, woodworking and especially spending time with his family. Bob was an active member of Christ the King Lutheran Church in Spencer. Bob passed away on Wednesday, May 31, 2017, at Good Samaritan Society in Pipestone, MN, at the age of 85. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Bonnie; two brothers, Sheridan and Hank Blaue; and one sister, Carolee Craven. Left to cherish his memory are his three children: Steven (Debbie) Blaue of Pipestone, MN, Janalee (Charlie) Wakefield of New Brighton, MN, and Nadine (Jerry) Peterson of Appleton, WI; 8 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; other relatives and many friends.
