Robert Bruce Miller

Robert Bruce Miller, the son of Freeman and Evelyn (Raveling) Miller, was born March 25, 1939 in Cherokee, Iowa.  His childhood years were spent in Sutherland, where he received his education.  He entered the military and served with the U.S. Army until his honorable discharge.

     Bob married Shirley Peters on December 21, 1960.  After their marriage, they farmed and raised cattle on a farm near Sutherland.  He enjoyed hunting, fishing, farming and mostly just being outside in nature.  He also loved enjoying home cooked meals.

     He passed away at the Avera Heart Hospital in Sioux Falls, SD on Tuesday, November 2, 2021 at the age of 82.  He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Shirley on June 22, 2021 and two brothers: Jim Miller and Shorty Miller, who died at a young age.

     Bob is survived by his children: Rodney (MaryAnn) Miller of Salina, Kansas, Darla (Randy Scheff) Beatty of Trimont, MN and Rich (Donna) Miller of Sutherland, IA; five grandchildren: John, Cohen (Richelle), Zachariah, Mike and JoAnn; one great grandchild, Evelyn;  a brother, Pat (Judy) Miller of Spencer; sister, Bonnie (Dick) Bronson of Duluth, MN;  other relatives and friends.
