Robert Dean Kramme

Robert Dean Kramme, the son of Jens and Gladys (Burrows) Kramme, was born July 20, 1927 in Sibley, Iowa. His childhood years were spent in Sibley, where he received his education, graduating from Sibley High School. After his schooling, he entered the military and served twice with the U.S. Army during the Korean War from 1946 - 1948 as a sergeant and from 1950 - 1951 as a corporal. Bob married Shirley Mulder on February 27, 1949 in Sheldon, IA. Following their marriage, they moved to Sutherland, where he operated a grocery store for many years. He was a member of the United Methodist Church in Sutherland. He was also active in his community serving with the American Legion, the VFW and the Masonic Lodge. Bob also served on the city council for 12 years and served as mayor of Sutherland for 5 years. He also enjoyed collecting bottles over the years. He passed away at his home in Sutherland on Sunday, November 23, 2014 at the age of 87. Bob was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Shirley on April 7, 2011; an infant brother; a sister, Lillian & a son-in-law, Neil Hoffmann. Left to cherish his memory are his two daughters: Barbara and her husband, Alan Giese of Spirit Lake, IA and Carla Hoffmann of Sheldon, IA; four grandchildren: Kimberly (Erik) Dyste, Kristin (Mark) Johnson, Jessica (Shawn) Broesder and Kurt Hoffmann; 10 great grandchildren; one brother, William Kramme of Fresno, CA; a special friend and business partner, Roger Foley and family; other relatives and many friends.
SERVICES
Memorial services will be held 11:00 A.M., Friday, November 28, 2014 at the United Methodist Church in Sutherland.

All of his many friends.
VISITATION
Visitation will be one hour prior to the services at the church. Military services will be conducted by American Legion Post #152 - Sutherland, Iowa immediately following the graveside services.

INTERMENT
Waterman Cemetery Sutherland, Iowa A Lunch and time of fellowship will be held at the church immediately following the services at the cemetery.
