Robert Gregory Ekberg

April 3, 1953 — June 24, 2015

Robert "Bob, Bobby" Gregory Ekberg, the son of Robert W. and Donnabelle (Walstrom) Ekberg was born April 3, 1953, in Spencer, IA. His childhood years were spent in the Royal, IA, area where he attended school, graduating from Clay Central High School in 1971. Robert worked as a carpenter, plumber, and electrician. He spent time traveling and working in both South Carolina and Arizona, before returning to Royal, IA. Robert enjoyed watching NASCAR, hunting, fishing, and especially his three labs, Max, Luke, and Puck. Robert passed away on Wednesday, June 24, 2015, at Spencer Hospital in Spencer, IA, at the age of 62. He was preceded in death by his father. Left to cherish his memory are his mother, Donnabelle of Spencer, IA; two sisters, Diane (Thomas) Blann of LaVista, NE, and Joan (Emil) Moldovan of Dublin, VA; four nieces; one nephew; other relatives, and many friends.

SERVICES

Memorial services will take place 10:30 A.M., Monday, June 29, at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Royal.
