Robert Lee Culbertson

Robert Lee Culbertson, the son of H. Lyal and Florence (Weist) Culbertson, was born May 5, 1930 in Spencer, Iowa. His childhood years were spent in Spencer, where he received his education, graduating from Spencer High School. Following high school, he attended Morningside College in Sioux City. Robert entered the military in 1951 and served with the U.S. Navy during the Korean Conflict until his discharge in 1955. He continued his education at San Francisco State College. Bob married Consuelo "Connie" Sanchez on June 26, 1955 in San Francisco, CA. Following their marriage he lived in San Mateo, CA for the rest of his life. He worked as Sales Administrator for Del Monte Corporation for 27 years, until his retirement. He enjoyed his trips back to his childhood home in Iowa, where he renewed his many friendships. He passed away at the San Mateo Medical Center in San Mateo, CA on Thursday, May 23, 2013 at the age of 83. Bob was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers. Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Consuelo "Connie" Culbertson of San Mateo, CA; one niece and her husband, Mary and Bob (Cubby) Altenbern of Buxton, ME; other relatives and many, many friends.
