Robert Rosberg, of Montevideo, died on Saturday, May 10, 2008 at the Luther Haven Nursing Home in Montevideo at the age of 78. Memorial services will be conducted on Wednesday, May 14, 2008 at 4:00 P.M. at the Anderson Funeral Home Chapel in Montevideo with Rev. Donald S. McKee officiating. Robert Lee Rosberg was born on September 7, 1929 in Omaha, NB to Hjalmer and Alva (Johanson) Rosberg. He graduated from Bloomfield High School in Bloomfield, NE and spent four years in the U.S. Navy. On April 20, 1952, he was united in marriage to Velma Nath in Everly, IA. He worked at the COOP in Everly and as an elevator manager in Halbur and Postville, IA before retiring at the age of 55. After short periods of time in California and Arizona, they moved to Montevideo, MN in 1986. He worked for a four county area and the State of Minnesota as a weed/seed and feed inspector and an anhydrous inspector. Robert was a member of the VFW and American Legion and had been a Mason. He enjoyed fishing, taking his grandchildren fishing, working hard and Vikings football. He especially enjoyed his family and their activities. He was currently a resident at the Luther Haven Nursing Home in Montevideo. He is survived by his wife Velma; three daughters: Nancy Quarry and her husband Robert of Bethlehem, PA, Rhonda Derezinski of Bloomington, MN and Connie Johnson and her husband David of Eagan, MN; four grandchildren: Adrienne Quarry, Daniel Derezinski, Nathan Johnson and Katie Johnson; two brothers: Russell (and Sandy) Rosberg of Omaha, NE and Dean (and Clarine) Rosberg of Hastings, NE; a sister, Betty (and Larry) Nielsen of Yankton, SD; two sisters-in-law, Irma and Sharon Rosberg of Omaha, NE; as well as by a number of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers: Elmer and Leroy Rosberg; a sister, Irene Thompson and by a sister, Arlene Rosberg in infancy.
SERVICES
Memorial services will be held 11:00 A.M., Friday, May 16, 2008 at the Warner Funeral Home in Everly.

Lone Tree Cemetery Everly, Iowa Military services will be conducted by Everett Boyles, Jr. Post #414 - American Legion of Everly, Iowa. A lunch and time of fellowship will be held a Warner Funeral Home in Everly, Iowa following the graveside services.
