Robert Wayne Peterson

April 20, 1927 — January 14, 2007

Robert W. (Bob) Peterson was born April 20, 1927 in Algona, Iowa to Herbert and Minnie Bowers Peterson. He was raised in the Minneapolis, Minnesota and Algona, Iowa areas. In 1944, Robert enlisted in the United States Navy, serving in the Pacific Theater as a Machinist Mate until 1946. Robert worked as a carpenter in the area before retiring in 1995 to Royal, Iowa. Since 2002, Robert lived at Longhouse Residence in Spencer. Bob passed away at Spencer Hospital in Spencer on Sunday, January 14, 2007 at the age of 79. He was preceded in death by his parents: Herbert and Minnie Peterson; 2 sisters: Bette and Delores; two brothers: Billy and Ronald and one son, Robert, Jr. He is survived by four sons: Reynold and his wife, Kim Peterson of Spencer, Iowa, Roy and his wife, Paige Peterson of Sioux Falls, SD and Richard and Randy of Spencer, Iowa; two sisters: Marilyn Dodrill of Woodville, TX and Karen Jaeger of Luverne, Iowa; a brother, Lee Peterson of Banning, California; six grandchildren; other relatives and friends.

SERVICES

Graveside services will be held 10:30 A.M.,Wednesday, January 17, 2007 at the Riverside Cemetery in Spencer. Military Services will be conducted by Glen Pedersen Post #1 - American Legion at the graveside.
