Robert William Erick

     Robert “Robbie” William Erick, the son of Larry Erick and Linda and Curt Foltz, was born May 5, 1974 in Spencer, Iowa.  He graduated from Spencer High School.  When Robert was young, he had a great love of nature. Robbie would often be outdoors from the time he woke up until it was time for him to come in for bed.  He especially loved all of God’s creatures. 

     Robbie was employed at VODEC Industries in Council Bluffs, IA.  He enjoyed studying history, visiting all types of museums, watching sports, and was an avid walker.  He participated in the Special Olympics, competing in volleyball and bocce ball.

     He passed away at his home in Council Bluffs, Iowa on Thursday, March 22, 2018 at the age of 43.  Robbie was preceded in death by his grandparents, Robert and Bonnie Koenig and William Erick and a cousin, Angie Simonson Rhodes.

     Left to cherish his memory are his parents: Curt and Linda Foltz of Topeka, KS and Larry Erick and his wife, Leattie of Phoenix, Arizona; his grandmother, Janice Erick of Everly; three sisters: Jessica Erick (Joshua Johnson, Janet Kubly (Andrew) and Jolynn McFall (Brian); three brothers: Mark Erick (Wendy), Casey Erick (Rachel) and Mikhail Erick; many nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
