Rona Haberman, the daughter of Palmer and Norma (Weller) Teslow, was born May 18, 1940, in Sioux Falls, SD. Her childhood years were spent in Sioux Falls where she attended school and graduated from Washington High School in 1959.
After graduation, Rona worked in Sioux Falls. It was there that she met Roger Haberman. They were united in marriage on July 23, 1961, in Sioux Falls.
Following their marriage, they moved to Mallard, IA. While living in Mallard they had one daughter, Kim. The couple then moved to South Bend, IN, where Roger attended and taught at the University of Notre Dame. Rona stayed at home to take care of the family and they welcomed their second child Todd. After two years they moved to Decorah where they welcomed their third child, Kelli. Rona and her family then moved to Everly, IA for eight years before building a home on the family farm just south of Everly.
Rona was a member of Hope Lutheran Church in Everly. She enjoyed sewing, quilting, and needle- work. Most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. In her most recent years she had been a big supporter for the fight against ovarian cancer, by donating money and buying products that benefited research for a cure for this disease.
On December 23, 2008, Rona passed away peacefully at her home south of Everly at the age of 68. She was preceded in death by her parents, Palmer and Norma Teslow.
