Ronald Clair Woolston, the son of Jesse and Florence (Burgeson) Woolston was born June 19, 1936, in Sutherland, Iowa. His childhood years were spent in the Sutherland area where he attended school and graduated from Sutherland High School.

     Ronald enlisted into the U.S. Army and served until his Honorable Discharge in 1956. He married Marlene Munson and to this union two children were born. They later divorced. He married Irene Mengel on June 3, 1974, in Sioux Falls, South Dakota; she passed away in 2008. He then married Eleanor Watson on December 10, 2011, in Milford, Iowa. 

     Ronald farmed his entire life. He enjoyed working on the farm, watching sports on TV, and especially spending time with family. He was a member of Maple Grove Church in rural Sutherland.

     Ronald passed away on Friday, October 19, 2018, at the Spencer Hospital at the age of 82. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Irene; and one brother, Ken.

     Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Eleanor of Milford, IA; two children: David (Kris) Woolston of Sutherland, IA, and Stephanie Mortimore of Lennox, SD; two grandchildren: Jennifer Thompson and Lindsay (Jordan) Hoy; three great-grandchildren: Madilynn, Carlie, and Payton; other relatives and many friends.

SERVICES
Funeral services will be held 11:00 A.M., Monday, October 22, at the Warner Chapel in Spencer.
