Ronald Dale Eaton, the son of Leo and Hazel (Sweet) Eaton, was born on August 20, 1947, in Fort Dodge, Iowa. He was raised and received his early education in Rockwell City, graduating from high school in 1966. After graduation he entered into the military on December 30, 1966, serving in the U.S. Army. Ronald served during the Vietnam conflict. While in the military he received several medals for his service. He was honorably discharged on December 29, 1972. Following his service he returned to Colorado Springs, CO. There he attended Colorado State University where he studied Refrigeration and Air Conditiong repair.
On August 20, 1969, Ronald married Terry Triplett in Colorado Springs, CO. Following their marriage, the couple lived in Rockwell City and then moving to Ruthven in 1974, where he worked at Eaton's until his retirement in 2003.
Ronald enjoyed having coffee with his friend's at Sister's Caf� at least two times a day. He loved to visit with people and never met a stranger. He also liked to go fishing and loved to dance. He was very active with the N.W. Iowa Singles, where he served as a past president.
Ronald passed away on April 15, 2014, at the Spencer Hospital at the age of 66. He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Terry in 1998.
Left to cherish his memory are his daughter, Sheli Cheevers and her husband, Kurt of Spencer and their children: Xander and Audra; his son, Michael Eaton of Spencer and his son, Devin; his stepson, Glen Lindsey of Spencer; his brother, Dean and his wife, Corrine of Cherokee, IA; his sister, Sandra Musselman and her husband, Ray of Early, IA and his significant other, Lynette Feld of Carroll, IA; other relatives and many friends.

Funeral Services will be 10:30 a.m., Friday, April 18, 2014, at the Grace United Methodist Church in Spencer.
