Ronald James Ricketts

Ronald James Ricketts, the son of Lyle and Helen Simonsen Ricketts, was born September 14, 1949, in Fort Dodge, Iowa. He grew up and received his early education in Sioux Rapids and graduated in 1970. Following his schooling, Ron attended the University of Northern Iowa. On June 27, 1970, Ron married Becky Nielsen at Sioux Rapids, Iowa. Following their marriage, they made their home in Spencer. Ron worked for the Postal Service for over 20 years. Ron attended the Spencer Family Church. He enjoyed playing ball, watching sports and especially attending his son's events. Ron passed away on December 27, 2009 at his home at the age of 60. He is preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife, Becky of Spencer; his three son's and their wives: Robbie and Jodi Ricketts of Indianola, IA, Brandon and Dina Ricketts of Ankeny, IA and Marc and Angie Ricketts of Indianola, IA; 8 grandchildren; 2 sisters and their husbands: Nancy and David Kerns of LeGrand, IA and Beverlee and Mark Heintzelman of Kingston, NH; host of relatives and friends.
