Ronald Junior “Shorty” Roghair, the son of Jacob and Mary (Rozeboom) Roghair was born October 5, 1937 in Sanborn, IA. His childhood years were spent in the Hartley, IA area, where he attended school, and graduated from Hartley High School in 1955.

Ronald married Sharon Pearson on August 7, 1965 at the Baptist Church in Willmar, MN. Ronald worked on the family farm his entire life, until his retirement in 2002, when he and Sharon moved to Spencer, IA. He enjoyed nature watching, reading, farming, and spending time with family. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Spencer.

Ronald passed away on Friday, May 3, 2019 at Longhouse Care Center in Spencer, IA, at the age of 81. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, John Roghair, and a brother, Lambert (infant).

Left to cherish his memory are his wife Sharon of Spencer, IA; one daughter, Kayla (Ted) Boehm of El Paso, TX; one son, Ronan (Linda) Roghair of Sioux Falls, SD; 6 grandchildren, Jessica, Emma, Zachary, Carter, Zoie, and Cain; 3 brothers, Marion (Shirley) Roghair of Spencer, IA, William (Shirley) Roghair of Mountain Lake, MN, and Glen (Janice) Roghair of Spencer, IA; other relatives; and many friends.

SERVICES

Memorial services will take place 11:00 A.M., Tuesday, May 7 at First Baptist Church in Spencer.

VISITATION

Visitation will take place one hour prior to the service at the church.
