Rose Marie Kast

February 14, 1921 — July 16, 2017

Rose Marie Kast, the daughter of Donald and Fay (Pike) Armstrong, was born February 14, 1921 in Kellerton, IA. Her childhood years were spent in Kellerton, where she attended school. On June 24, 1971, Rose married Robert Kast in Blair, NE. Rose lived in several communities Omaha, Tucson, San Antonio throughout her life. Rose liked to go to garage sales, collecting knick knacks and was an accomplished crocheter, making an afghan for Sandy's daughter, Ashley. She made several baby blankets for staff at St. Lukes and liked to have lunch with her friends. Rose passed away on Sunday, July 16, 2017, at St. Luke Lutheran Home, at the age of 96. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Robert and her daughter, Rosalie. Left to cherish her memory are her stepson, Robert Kast of MN; stepdaughter, Roberta Kast, TX; her dear friends, Tim and Sandy Boisen of Sioux Rapids, IA; other relatives and friends.

SERVICES

Graveside Services will be 10:00 A.M. Wednesday, July 19, at Riverside Cemetery.
